Junior League of Milwaukee Signs on as a House Sponsor for Shevitalize

Revitalize Milwaukee is very excited for Shevitalize, our very first female-empowered Block Build which will take place on October 6-7 in the Harambee Neighborhood in partnership with the Riverworks Center. We are also very proud to introduce the Junior League of Milwaukee as our initial house sponsor of Shevitalize.

The Junior League of Milwaukee is a Female Volunteer Training Organization that has been in existence since 1915. The Junior League specializes in volunteer training in leadership, organizational development, community needs assessment, communications, advocacy, fundraising, and strategic planning for community involvement in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Over its 100+ years of existence, the League has been instrumental in the beginning of such organizations as: the Curative Care Network, The Visiting Nurse Association, The Blood Center of WI, Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, Task Force on Battered Women, Penfield Children’s Center, the Health Education Center of WI and Gilda’s Club of Southeastern WI. After recently celebrating their 100th year anniversary, the Junior League of Milwaukee is working harder than ever to make Milwaukee a more vital and healthy place to live.

The Junior League of Milwaukee is a perfect sponsor for the Shevitalize Block Build. Shevitalize will be our first Block Build to focus on women helping women in the City of Milwaukee. Our goal for Shevitalize is to encourage and emphasize the power among women along with ending 2017 with a bang. We hope to make 2017 our most impactful and exciting year yet. With the help of the Junior League of Milwaukee and other Shevitalize sponsors, we can reach our ultimate goal of revitalizing 340 homes this year.

Junior League members will volunteer through the League’s Done-in-a-Day program. This program offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for league members to make an impact on this community. The Done-in-a-Day program primarily focuses on education, health, and nutrition of women and children. Revitalize Milwaukee is just one of many partnerships the Junior League has within their Done-in-a-Day program.

Revitalize Milwaukee would like to thank Junior League of Milwaukee for being the initial sponsor of the Shevitalize Block Build. With their help, we hope to make Shevitalize our best Block Build yet! If you would like to join the Junior League of Milwaukee in changing lives this fall, contact us as 414-312-7531.
