Kathy Snyder, Revitalize Milwaukee's New Construction Manager
Revitalize Milwaukee is happy to welcome our new Construction Manager, Kathy Snyder to the Revitalize Milwaukee team.
Kathy grew up in Chicago, IL. Shortly after receiving her high school diploma, she enlisted in the Army. Kathy served three years in the Army’s 305th Psychological Battalion. Her key responsibilities included designing and implementing tactical scenarios. Kathy came home and got married and opened a construction company that she managed alongside her husband for 22 years. The company grew into a $3.5 million construction company with over 20 employees. After closing her company, she worked as a project coordinator for Konecranes Nuclear. Kathy has also served as President for TLC (transitional living center), a homeless shelter that works to help women and children transition back into self-sustainability.
“This makes Revitalize Milwaukee the best of both worlds” said Kathy. “I’m able to put my experience in construction and project management and my non-profit experience into practice as Revitalize Milwaukee’s construction manager.”
Kathy started with a bang. Three weeks after starting as Construction Manager, Kathy coordinated construction for Block Build MKE – Clarke Square which coordinated construction at 13 sites on the block. Construction included two large scale ramps, four porches, accessible bathrooms, a kitchen remodel, and the installation of lights, grab bars and handrails, fences, doors, gutters, painting and landscaping.
Fun facts about Kathy include winning a beauty pageant, Miss Fox River Grove and being a sharp shooter in the Army.
