Block Build MKE is our signature annual event where volunteers and community partners come together to transform multiple neighborhood blocks in one weekend. On this weekend, corporations and individuals work on up to 30 homes that are owned by low-income elderly, veterans, and/or those living with a disability.
The two days are full of activity—hundreds of volunteers donate their skills and sweat equity to complete numerous repairs and beautification updates. Every project we undertake is unique. Each home comes with a different history, specialized homeowner needs, and its own scope of work. Once deployed, we do everything from yard cleanup and painting to skilled plumbing, windows, electrical, and flooring repairs.

We are excited to announce that Revitalize Milwaukee is moving forward with our first Contractor Agreement sign-in and RFB, as part of our LEAD ARPA grant. Our team is confident that this project will be a success with the help of all of you and look forward to building long-term, sustainable relationships to ensure children in our community remain safe from the hazards of lead paint. In the meeting we will address details about our lead abatement contract, project and work flow, cost estimation sheets, material procurement, invoices and RM’s bidding processes. Lead abatement contractor agreements will be sent to each of the abatement companies present in the meeting in a separate email. It is vital to attend this meeting due to the important details to be discussed. Only companies present in the meeting will be provided a copy of the Lead Abatement Contractor Agreement and be enrolled in our first-round bidding pool for our THIRTEEN projects.

It is held at 700 W. Virginia Street in the Garden Level Conference Room.
We’re hosting a Block Build with the Milwaukee Bucks! 100 Bucks volunteers will help revitalize 5 homes on one street and in one day, providing families with the safety and comfort that everybody deserves in their own home. Each project will be tailored to the homeowner’s needs, with the end goal of these repairs going beyond improvements to individual homes to improvements to entire neighborhoods and communities.
Join us at the Wisconsin Club to change the odds for low-income seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. The evening will be full of fun and games as we celebrate the work we do and raise money to continue serving local homeowners in need.
